BYU- Vocal Point

BYU has an amazing singing acapella group called Vocal Point. After seeing Pitch Perfect, my now all time favorite, I am obsessed with acapella groups. Chris found out Vocal Point was going to be in Idaho, so he decided to buy us tickets. Also, Chris served his mission with one of the members in Vocal Point. It was such an awesome performance! It was so amazing to see these men sing and how amazing there talents are. They could sing any song in the world and make it sound like there was a hidden band somewhere. It was so interesting how they Incorporated 20 songs together to make one song, that was my favorite part. I was so entertained i forgot to take pictures, but of the pictures that i did take, there is a creaper in all of them! Take a look

 Overall, it was a fun date night and i am so happy i was able to share that great time with the hubster!!

It was such a nice day to go swimming. We went with our closest friends and had so much fun. Thanks so much to the Lawrence's for inviting us and bringing food to feed us. MMHH! It was so much fun eat, tanning, and playing around with our friends. Chris and I brought our dog because we thought it would be fun to see if she would love the water. She loves taking baths and tries to jump into the shower when we are bathing, so we wanted to see her reaction. Her reaction, so funny. He threw her in, making this traumatizing for her. She never wanted to go near the water when i went, but when she saw Kendall, she was all in.

Chris B-DAY Bash!!

This was such an awesome day. It started out slow because Chris had to work, but after he got off of work, we partied hard. I was getting worried at first because the weather was not cooperating with us, but it cleared up after a while. We spent the first couple of hours hanging out with our good friends Trevor and Malorie Monson. we went to the mall and spent money on Chris because it was his magical day. He went to his blessed favorite store, Hollister and Hollistered it up. He also wanted a white shirt so we walked around finding one and found a very slimming, very attractive white shirt from JC Penny. After our excursion to the mall we went to the driving range. BBAAHHHaaha what a great excursion. I am not a sporty person, i cannot golf and i do not have any rhythm to shoot a stupid ball. My husband, the wonderful man he is, loves golfing, comes from a golfing family and swings the ball so far i cannot even see it. Trevor was also very amazing at golfing. Malorie and I, not so very good. Actually, Malorie kicked my trash, i truly sucked.

It was such a great day to go shoot some balls.But oh my goodness, it was so cold. As you can see from my photo, i am wearing a scarf, and two Canadian sweaters.  I had to put my hands in my pockets during each time i shot a ball. I may be over exaggerating, but i think it was freezing.

 

I was just so cold! I am surprised that some off my balls actually went farther then 5 feet in front of me. At one point, i hit the ball right in front of me and it landed 1 foot in front of my feet. I truly sucked at golfing and trying to hit the ball. 

 

 

I had to include the picture of butt because DANG!! it looks so dang good. Look at the 12 pounds lost BUTT! But also that is how i always landed when i hit the ball. I truly did suck it up.

It was so much fun sharing the experience with Malorie and Trevor. Thanks guys for coming. 

Following our big excursion in Idaho Falls, we then went out to dinner with some of our closest friends. We went to dinner with the Merrills, The Lawrences, The Monsons, and the Septons. We went to Big Judds!! It was so much fun just eating, sitting around and just talking. It was nice to have everyone there supporting Chris on his 24th birthday.

Following dinner we went back to our apt and had delicious cake. It was a banana cake with brown sugar frosting. I would like to take credit for baking this wonderful masterpiece, but it was all Lisa. It was so stinking delicious and i am jealous that she is such a great baker. After that, we went to the Lawrence's apartment and played games for a long time. It was so much fun just playing games and talking. Thanks for opening your home to us and thank-you everyone for making Chris birthday a great day. 

This is my inspiration for loosing weight. I am doing so great, i am down 12 pounds! I am only about 15 pounds away from my goal weight. I CAN DO THIS!!!

Truth Tuesdays

Oh my goodness, I absolutely hate being scared. If anybody truly knows me, everyone knows and understands that i can be skiddish and very jumpy. If you walk up behind me and just say hello the wrong way, i jump out of my skin. So the other day i was taking a shower. ooolalala. While i am showering, my wonderful husband tends to open the shower curtain, and scream whatever, and of course, i jump so hard and scream. I feel so bad for our neighbors because they probably think i am being attacked. So the other day, Chris comes into the bathroom while i am taking a shower. The radio was on, i was singing along, and you no ...  showering it up! So he thinks it would be funny to scare me, but this was just not any ordinary a scare, but a treacherous prank. He comes into the bathroom, stands on the toilet and tries to find a way to stand over the shower curtain rod and hang off of it and scream. Since our shower curtain rod is too far away for a 6'1 man, he decided to jump off the toilet, rip open the shower curtain and throw his hands in my face and scream AAAHHHH!!! I was so freaking scared i fell in the shower, cried because i thought i was being attacked, and all he had to say was "You were not suppose to cry"!! Yup, i absolutely hate being scared.

I am such a bad blogger!!! I clearly have not kept up my blog. There is nothing exciting happening in our lives, but just it is the little things that make it great that are making our lives happier. About a month ago, i had joined a weight loss program at the school called, "The Biggest Winner'. It is the exact replica of The Biggest Winner T.V show. We have two amazing trainers, i workout 6 days a week, eat really healthy, and watch the pounds shed away. This program is so amazing and i have such an amazing team that makes it all worth it. It is so amazing to see the difference that i see in my own body and my outlook on life. I am only 15 pounds away from a HOT bikini, and my goal weight. Sorry, i do not have any before or after shots (thanks freaking goodness), but ill show you an end picture as i rock a hot bathing suit. BBOOOYYYAAAHHHH I am getting healthy and looking great. Thanks to my awesome team, Lisa coming with me and all the encouragement, i am rocking it!

This week, we were able to watch the nursery kids as there parents went out on a date, ran some errands, and just had some time to be together. We were able to take them to the park, make them dinner, and just have some good ol' fun. It was so much fun, and i am so excited to do it again. They can be so funny, kaden, singing to songs, Kendall 'awkward' every 5 seconds. It was so funny, i was singing a kiesha song out loud and kendall was singing it with me. "Maybe we need some rehab, maybe we need' 'STOP' she said, and threw out her arms, 'awkward! Ugh! she is so stinking funny. And then there was Kaden and how he dances, baha, swinging his arms like he is in a hoedown. It was so much fun and i am truly so lucky to have such an amazing calling with such an amazing bunch of kids and there families.

So now that i am officially done with this semester, i am going to become crafty. My goal for the next week is to make a chandelier, an area rug and curtains. I am really excited and so pumped to do these projects. I think it is really funny that i do not own a sewing machine, so to complete my projects, i had to ask Sydnee.
