Chris and I love the Big Bang Theory, that is our favorite show to watch together. We were so stumped on what to be for Halloween so I decided to go to Pinterest and get some ideas. I saw some amazing ideas, but we didn't have 100's of dollars to spend so we decided to hit the DI and find clothes that we could use for our costumes. We couldn't find anything so we resorted to Walmart and found some amazing things for our costumes. I found a great sweater and some tights and improvised with things from my own wardrobe. We had to buy Chris two shirts and dress him up to look like Sheldon. In the end, we pulled it off, Sheldon and Amy, Shamy! We spent the night with our friends and opening the door for the cute trick o' treaters. What a fun/ great Halloween.

Trip to Canada
Chris and I were blessed enough to visit Canada this summer. Colton was going to blessed and my sister wanted Chris, my dad and my brother to be in the blessing circle. Since I am a teacher, I get the summers off; therefore I was able to spend an entire month with my family. Chris on the other hand was only able to spend one week there. While Chris was there, we were able to go to our favorite Chinese restaurant, visit my parents, go to the amusement park, go to the beach and etc. It was so amazing because we were able to see my new nephew for the first time, see him get blessed and for Chris to finally meet some of my cousins that he has not yet met. This was such a fun vacation, I am so grateful that I was able to spend it with my amazing husband. After Chris being there for one week, we had to drop him off at the airport, this was so sad. I was so sad because I was not going to see him for a couple weeks and I didn't want him to miss out on some great memories. Eventually, Chris had to go back to work and I stayed getting to no my new nephew better and spending quality time with my family. I was able to babysit a lot, which I love doing, I was able to spend the entire time with my sisters and family and do wonderful things. I was able to go to my favorite restaurant East Side Mario's, go on roller coasters, go to the beach and just relax with my fabulous family. I am so grateful that after teaching, I am able to take the summer off, travel and spend time with my family. Even though my family lives far away, I am grateful for the summers, for when we can actually hang out.

NYC!
Chris and I were able to go to New York City this summer and then go to Canada for a week after that. We went to New York City and met up with my sisters Melanie, Melissa and my Nephew Johnny. We stayed there for three days and had a blast. We arrived in the afternoon the first day and decided to walk down Times Square and enjoy all of the lights; we walked the whole thing and my feet were killing me. We decided to grab some takeout from a restaurant called shake shack, a famous New york burger joint (it's in all the movies) and call it a night. On the next day, we decided it would be our shopping day. We walked down the shopping district and went down the "knock off" street. Chris and I were able to see the Hershey factory, Epic Abercrombie and Hollister, Prada, Louis Vuitton and etc. I bought a Michael Kors purse and Channel sun glasses and I absolutely love them. Chris looked like a new yorker with his backpack and epic apparel, he was even asked for directions. We stopped at a Greek festival and tried some Greek food, I had a kabob. At the end of the day, after store after store, we had to call a Cab. Melanie, Johnny and I took a Cab back while Melissa and Chris walked. As they were walking back, they saw Grand central, I am so jealous! On the next day, we took a tour bus all around Brooklyn, upper/ lower New York and then the night tour. These were amazing tours, we were able to see so much culture and immerse ourselves into those cultures as well. After the tours we had to see the Statue of Liberty. The ferries were all booked so we got as close as we could to it, it was fabulous and it was amazing to see a piece of American history. This trip was so much fun. I enjoyed this trip very much, for the fabulous company and the spectacular memories we have shared.

Mentoring Program
I have had the amazing opportunity to mentor an amazing student named Eric. He is a kind individual who needs a lot of pushing to get things done. By mentoring him i was able to get to no a lot of other refugee students at my school and to also show them my support. Eric and i have had some amazing adventures, endless buffets, movies, golfing and etc. Chris and I are so grateful that we are able to help a child's life by helping him with his education. Eric tests my patience each day, but when i see his report with no F's or D's, a huge smile on face comes across. He shows me everyday that he can do it, he can be smart and be successful in his every day life. I am thankful that my school has given me this opportunity. By helping Eric i have met another teacher who mentors an entire family of students. They are so hilarious they make my day. The come and give me hugs everyday and tell me how grateful they are to see me. It warms my heart that i am able to help these students who had to leave their countries to find a safe haven in America.

Madison Duke
I love my dog, Madison. She is so freaking cute; she sleeps with us, follows me everywhere and smells out food wherever she is. I love that she finds the tightest crevice and snuggles up. You can be laying anywhere and she will snuggling right up to you. She has major attitude and sass, but she also has the eyes of a two year old. I love my baby <3

Happy Birthday Bro!
I wanted to give a shout out to my wonderful brother Helmut Neher A.K.A Moot! Helmut and I are 10 months apart and are inseparable. Growing up we pulled each others hair, slapped, hit each other with a hockey stick etc. Even though we did all these things when we were kids, we grew closer and closer together as we aged. I am so glad that i grew up with an amazing best friend that i call my brother. To this day when we get together we are trouble. I love it that no matter where we are we can talk for long hours and when we get together, we party hard! Love you Bro <3

First year of teaching
This year has been a crazy year! I cannot believe that i taught an entire year without having a mental breakdown, kill something, break a pencil (yes i am being a tad dramatic). I have had a an amazing class who have changed my life. They are a sweet, amazing, brilliant group of students. I was so very blessed to have had them as my first year class. Yes, there were times that i wanted to call it quits, but in the end, the lightbulb went off and all was right in the world. I love that no matter what class you teach, there will always be diversity. I have has very shy individuals and very extrinsic individuals; they are so funny and sometimes i just had to stop the lesson and laugh. The one thing that I truly did love, was that i learned so much about American History, geography; as my students were learning, i was learning. I am truly grateful for having such an amazing job and work with such an amazing group of people. I had an amazing year, so ups and some downs, but overall, this was an amazing first year of teaching and I owe it all to my fabulous students. For their end of year gift, I made them a video, unfortunately it is too big to upload, so here is a glimpse #Teamawesome! WAY TO GO 5TH GRADE!
